Upon viewing my project you will come to understand a little better, why psychopath’s do the things they do. What it is that makes them tick, what leads them to believe they can do the terrible things they do. My project is a look into the mind of a psychopath. This might seem weird but I have had an interest in the mind of psychopaths for quite some time now. What it is that makes them do the things they do, why they believe that what they do is okay. My mother never kept me in the dark about how the world is, but never led me to believe there wasn’t complete beauty in it. Everything happens for a reason. Everyone has heard that line before. Well I have always applied that to not only everyday life, but to the human mind. So what was Ted Bundy’s reason? How about Charles Manson? I suppose I just want to have a better understanding for myself. This project has actually led me to search a bit more into the profession of Abnormal Psychology. Since I love the human mind so much why not make it my job?

When it comes to what sparked my interests in this sketchy subject I would have to say it was the world around me. Everywhere one looks they see both the beauty and the deception this world has to offer. I believer everyone is at least a bit curious as to what goes on in the human mind, whether they are interested in abnormal psychology, or just normal psych. I tend to believe that most things happen for a reason, but what is the reason for murder? What is the reason others cause pain upon others? That is the reason I chose this subject to research. Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy, all people I'm sure had gone through something that made them snap. Or perhaps they never actually snapped but in fact have a different way of thinking, and if that is so, then why do they think that way? The reasons why I chose to research this subject can go on and on, but in the end, it's just pure human instinct.
